When people say they like to have a GMT watch when they travel, I seriously doubt they'll get much use out it.

My daily driver and took the place of the sub I always thought I wanted. Great video, great watch.

It is almost like they don't care much about the brand, I mean if you're going after the Explorer, just match it and surpass it (they have all the means to do it) and refine the AT shades to fight the Datejust and OPs... Really not that hard. Maybe Omega just became a lil bit too irrelevant, and that's a shame because I really like the AT and how it is an alternative to Rolex's entry-level ones.

Typical Omega ugly bracelet proportions, though the three link design is getting better and the extension, if it works well, would be good. Watch is way too thick to be a competitor to the OP/Datejust or a “do it all” watch. The 41 is as thick as a Sea Dweller and the 38mm as thick as a Submariner. Omega, it’s time to redesign your calibers, they’re too thick, no more accurate than traditional designs that are far thinner, and mid-pack power reserve. If these were in the 10mm thick range then they might be competitive with Rolex, but for now they’re just bulky Seamaster dive watches without timing bezels. I would much rather have a 90’s/oughts Omega than anything Omega makes now.

I don’t understand everyone’s obsession with watches needing to be brushed. The best part of these watches is there pretty well rounded u can get the beautiful polished shine but also the accents/durability of the brushed. Everyone hates on the buttery fly claps but it nice to have a watch with a different clasp system. I have three omegas aqua terra, Seamaster and speedmaster. I like each for different reason and because of their differences. To many people want everything to be the same and in the end nothing will have it’s own character or charm.

The incumbent (Explorer) is like a casino dealer, you better them or you lose. Blaqua Terra is good but is it better?

One major problem - people are turned off by brands that don’t listen to their customer base. Give people what they want and you will sell your product. Only offer people want you want them to have and you will fail. That’s not only true for brands of any industry as a whole, but also to individual products within the brand.

I agree. This is a nice watch for sure. Shame they didn’t innovate with the titanium version and the pop-out crown. They’re too conservative I suppose.

My God that full titanium render❤️ But I’d remove the polish from the bracelet center links and put some on the case instead, like the World Timer AT, and maybe a power reserve indicator at the back🤔. Also like 35k less, thanks Omega😊

I used to love Omega but they fell off. Omega's marketing is straight embarrassing they're IG account is beyond terrible. Omega isn't the great brand they once were.

I like the Aqua Terra a lot, 38mm is such a nice size too. However, why are the smaller ladies models available with a quartz movement and not the 38mm? I'd love to see a gents sized HAQ Aqua Terra in a titanium case.

Nice video as always. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't give omega another look, as their true potential will remain shackled to bad group management. But your videos keep my appreciation for the brand alive.

The gap at the clasp when the extension is used looks terrible. Also, the polished bracelet makes it so dressy and flashy.

My gold Constellation has the same microadjustment in the clasp. Game changer!

Eh, I just bought a 214270 (39mm) 2020 box and papers for under 7K. Omega is a great watch but I don’t like the case shape. Rolex and their 904L. Man, nothing feels like it. It’s like silk.

The 38mm really needs the 8900 movement. That’s the last thing the AT needs, and I’d happily buy one.

I like this watch in pictures, but when I saw it in person the dial looks cheap for some reason. I wanted to like this watch but is a bit meh... It is priced quite reasonable

Very, very minor tweaks to watches in the Rolex line up don’t seem to harm that brand. In fact people salivate and wax lyrical over these small changes in case diameter or colour combinations. The fact that Omega has moved away from the teak design is a fairly major departure in this range. Personally, I prefer my Aqua Terra with the teak design but that’s just my preference . The movements in Omega watches are still far better than many others at the same or higher price points, so it’s difficult to see how they can move the dial, no pun intended, on this front. Better power reserve possibly, but these are outstanding movements.

3/5. Plain black dial, yes please. 38mm case, perfect. On the fly adjustment, finally. But still no no-date option. And still too shiny, especially the bracelet.

The side by side of the Rolex Explorer and the smaller Panerai is brilliant! I agree that a smaller size would open up a larger clientele for Panerai!

Great compilation. I think the idea of a one and done watch is in conflict with the hobby itself. What other hobbies are there where people say I'll just have one of the thing being collected and stop? It is really more an exit strategy for a hobby (perhaps one where someone thinks they have a problem), which is not the same thing. It seems your insights are grounded in a motive for your watch choices to have a better chance of being long-term, stay in collection pieces - that might not be the best path to enjoyment for some (I recognize these are YOUR insights, I'm just sharing other views). On straps, I find that if I am looking for a new strap it is indicative of me not liking the watch itself. On brands, these are indeed wrapped up in identity, how we view ourselves, how the watches make us feel, etc. We can fight that and be practical about it (compare cost of construction, for example), but it very hard to get away from. I would say the biggest learning is not to discount the emotional side of this hobby. Thanks again.

Omega don't have a personality, look back to its history and You'll find a very strange, awful watches design ever made.

This could have truly been an alternative to the Explorer. However the overly polished surfaces make this watch an expensive option over the Datejust. It will sell like hotcakes, I am sure of that but in my opinion Omega missed an opportunity to make a compelling alternative to the Explorer.

I find this watch soooo bland. Nothing about it stirs any emotion in me.
